"We will not be silenced"

Whether they are against Mubarak, or they support Mubarak (for the moment), one of the greatest things that has come of all of this that now, after 30 years of silence, Egyptians know they can no longer be told that they have no say in their future. We pray now for a peaceful transition: I've been talking to friends - there is hope in the streets, people are going back to work, the stock market and banks will open tomorrow. People are still in Tahrir square and still, anything could happen, but it is my greatest hope that the government now understands that, as Maria Golia wrote in the "New Internationalist", Egyptians have sent a "message to Egypt’s government and every government in the world: you are here to serve and respect the peoples’ wishes – not the other way around. We are the nation, and we are staying. You have betrayed us, and you must go," and as the protester shouts in the video below, "We will demand our rights. We will not be silenced."
