Remembering Moses

Headed south this weekend to Beni Suef, a village in "upper" (i.e. southern) Egypt to visit some friends who are teaching with the Mennonite Central Committee. It becomes easy to feel like Cairo is Egypt, but really, these farming towns and villages represent the country just as much, if not more, than its capital.

Also, no pyramids and desert here, people. This is the Egypt you picture when you imagine Pharaoh's daughter plucking Moses from the reeds of the Nile. And it's beautiful.

The sail says, "Good morning Egypt..."

Thanks again for the visit, Micah and Phil.
